FS2004, Nadi International Airport, Fiji Islands................NFFN
By: Bill Melichar

Description:

This scenery completely remakes the airport in a more accurate and complete style than the FS2002 version. It now more accurately depicts the entire airport, and corrects the sloppy taxiways in FS9. Night ramp lighting, along with several hangar areas are now included. This airport, along with Honolulu and the Phillippines is one of the larger mid Pacific hubs. It is also a favorite holiday spot for New Zealand, and Australia, and is the gateway to the Fiji Islands. Air Pacific also makes it's home here.

Installation:

1. Extract the zip into your main FS2004 Addon Scenery folder, or into a temporary folder, and then move it there, which ever method you prefer.

2. Start up FS2004 and when the welcome screen, or initial menu comes on, select settings, then click on Scenery Library, and Add Area. Find the Addon Scenery folder and open it, then find the Fiji_Nadi folder and click on it. The name Fiji_Nadi should now appear in the title window, then click OK. Then you will see Fiji_Nadi at the top of your scenery library list, and click the OK tab at the bottom.

3. That's it! You must first exit FS2004, and when you restart it your scenery will be there. It is not necessary to use the Addon Scenery option to locate this scenery, simply go to the airport in FS.

Notes:

Even though this scenery uses the default FS tarmacs, an afcad file will be needed to properly align the aircraft with the gates. I am working on my first afcad with this airport, so it maybe a while until I get it completed. I wanted to release the scenery before I started doing an afcad just in case I screwed things up. Anyone else who would like to do an afcad is welcome to do so, as I may take a bit of time to complete one.

Credits:

John de Langristin: Who I have not heard from for quite sometime, and has appeared to drop out of the FS scene. He has single handedly been one of the most important contributors to FS scenery design, and has personally left me with a texture library beyond compare.

Matthias Buckner: For his fantastic and easy to use Easy Object Design program, which creates the best objects and structures for FS.

Ino Terpstra: For the only big rig macros out there for scenery designers.

Mike wallace: For his static aircraft in liveries around the world. I used one here, sorry for those who hate them, but sometimes they are just needed.

Gabriel Concha: For the very fine example of a push back tug.

Tom Burnett: For his airport service vehicles, seen here as the Chevy vans.

Christian Friedrich: For his best bus, which I changed the colors of a while back to fit in with my tropical scenery.

Andre Urosevic: For the fantastic new fire trucks featured here. I have been looking for these for a while now, since I hated the bright red lights of previous versions. These are real beauties, and fill the void I needed.

Marshall Brandt: For the cargo stairs, which I used in the main hangar. These are the only ones out there that I have found, and they do not require textures!

Finally to all those who have waited patiently for my remake of this scenery! I have been doing them more or less in order of importance and requests, usually judging from download numbers in FS2002, and the order I did them in previously. I am finally down to the last few, and will then be free to start some completely new projects probably shortly after the first of the new year.
